Our commitment

Speaking practice can feel personal. Spekero is built to provide a calm place to practise, review useful feedback, and improve at your own pace.

• We keep feedback practical and non-judgmental.
• We do not rank users against each other.
• We respect different accents, speaking rhythms, and communication styles.
• We explain important data and account choices clearly.

What Spekero does

• Helps you practise speaking through short exercises.
• Gives feedback on useful signals such as speaking pace, filler words, and progress.
• Helps you notice patterns over time so you can practise more deliberately.
• Supports confidence through repetition, awareness, and calmer practice.

What Spekero does not do

• Spekero does not diagnose speech, language, mental health, or medical conditions.
• Spekero does not assess your personality, confidence, anxiety, or emotions.
• Spekero does not judge accents, identity, or personal worth.
• Spekero does not sell personal data or use recordings to train models.

Privacy and data

Privacy is part of the product design. Spekero uses your data only for the purposes explained in the Privacy Policy and in the app.

• Your account data is stored securely so your practice history can stay available across devices.
• Most voice recordings stay on your device while you practise.
• Subscriber audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API only when needed to create a transcript for that completed exercise.
• You can control your analytics settings in the app.
• We do not use your recordings to train models.

Delete your Spekero account

You can request permanent deletion of your Spekero account and all associated data at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed.

Option 1: Delete it yourself in the app

Open the Spekero app, sign in, then go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm your password, and your account will be deleted immediately.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, email support@spekero.com from the email address associated with your Spekero account, with the subject line Account Deletion Request. We will verify the request and delete your account within 14 days.

What gets deleted:

• Your account, including your email and password.
• Practice session history, transcripts, and recordings metadata.
• Progress, streaks, XP, achievements, mood check-ins, and challenge progress.
• Any active subscription, which is cancelled as part of this process.
• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

For non-native speakers and coaches

Spekero is designed to support communication practice, not to force everyone to sound the same.

• Clarity is not the same as sounding native.
• Different accents and speaking rhythms are respected.
• The app supports practice, but it does not replace human coaching.
• Deeper interpretation, encouragement, and personal context still belong with people.

Our belief

Confidence does not come from harsh correction. It grows through safety, repetition, time, and self-awareness. Spekero should support that process without turning speaking practice into pressure.
